Very Good condition, 7/10, Made in USA by the Vega Co, Needham Heights, Mass 02194, Patented USA, dual rods, sunburst on the resonator, home made inlays and painted vines in the fingerboard, including old case with stickers, 2pc The Keith Banjo Tuners and 2pc original tuners plus the 5th string tuner, new head, This Vega Wonder 5-string banjo was built in Boston, Massachusetts during 1967. Vega had been in the banjo business since purchasing the remains of the Fairbanks banjo company in 1904 following a devastating fire at the Fairbanks plant. Three years after this Vega Wonder was built, the company was sold to the Martin Guitar company. The name changed hands again a few times and is now a valued part of the Deering Banjo company.
