Thus it is ideal to drive big "evil" amp towers and to elicit even more sustain, distortion, but also warmth. Even used with small amps, it provides excellent services. Many guitarists use the OD-3 with little distortion, but higher volume as a booster, thus bringing hot lead sounds to their tube amps faster.
