Good condition, 6,5/10, Made in Fullerton, California, USA, spagetti logo, including black original hardcase with orange lining and with the original bridge cover in the case pocket, lots of normal wear, beautiful sunburst finish with strong red color that is really more typical for 1963 so the body is probably earlier than the neck which is stamped 2FEB64B and has a curved rosewood fingerboard, the history of the guitar is that the first and only owner bought this guitar brand new in Sweden in 1966 (in Borås at Wahlströms Musik) and recorded and album the same year, he wishes to be anonymous but we can share the info with the future owner and there is also a photo of the band from this era available with the guitar in the center of attention, we find it weird that Hagström (the Swedish importer) sold this guitar with an american original hardcase as they mostly imported Fenders without cases and had the Järna case factory make yellow hardcases for the guitars but this one has been with the guitar since day one for sure as Järnacases leaves certain marks in the body which this guitar does not have , all original parts, the 5 bad things first; 1 - the original tremolo arm was broken off in the block so we have removed the stump and the guitar now has a new arm, 2 - the middle pickup has been rewound and at when it came to us the guitar had an extra tiny red cable on the switch to bypass the broken pickup but it has now been rewound by pickup guru Johan Lundgren (lundgren.se) with correct vintage specs and the cable has been removed, 3 - the back plate is cracked in the middle, 4: the first owner had a thin sticker on the pickguard with the band name for many years which has later been removed but it left a lighter line in the otherwise yellowed pickguard above the bridge pickup, and 5: the previous owner has at some point taken it upon himself to hide some dents in the finish with a black felt marker so there are about a dozen dots along the edges of the guitar if inspected carefully, OK..., now on to the good stuff: the neck pickup measures 6,04kOhm, the bridge pickup measures 5,79kOhm, the normal paint stick mark in the neck pocket, worn original frets which a future owner probably will replace but we leave it as it is, clay dots, original logo on the headstock with 3 patent numbers, 3 black bottom pickups with untouched solder joints (except for the rewound middle pickup of course), the neck pickup has a pencil marking BF which we have not seen before, the 3 potentiometers all have the code 137 6428 (28th week of 1964), 2 pieces of masking tape in the neck pickup cavity where one is marked with a 3 written with a pencil, has a large pencil B on the body under the finish and under the pickguard, 5 springs in the tremolo cavity but no body pencil markings
