Excellent condition, 8/10, Made in USA, including original centerpocket tweed hardcase, we are honored to be able to present this fantastic 50´s Strat in the best condition we have seen in a loooong time, only some minor wear along the edges, beautiful grain pattern in the light ash body, the neck has a headstock decal which is factory cut without the Synchronized Tremolo part which would indicate that the neck is from a different guitar (hardtail, ie without tremolo) but the dates of neck and body are within the same time frame (neck is 10 -55 and body 8/55, so October and August) so who knows?, has been refretted with slightly larger frets than the originals (the original frets and nut are in the case for comparison), pots are dated 304533 (33rd week of 1955), a previous owner has used the guitar as a lefty so there is an extra (now filled) strap button hole in the lower horn, the touchup is about as large as a quarter coin and is only visible under blacklight, another sign of the use as a lefty is that the neck has exactly the same amount of wear on both sides of the fingerboard, all original parts but a previous owner has decided to put some original parts in the case to prevent them from wear such as the tuners and the back plate which is now replaced with a Suhr Ilitch back plate to reduce hum, read more about this gadget online.
